Empowering You to Embrace Your Authentic Self

Hey There, I’m Jennie

Do you feel like you're wearing a mask?

Maybe you're a courageous young woman who appears to have everything together — but underneath, you're still trying to find yourself, because you've become best friends with the mask you hide behind. Being strong and pretending everything is okay has gotten you far in life. But it's exhausting.

Maybe an eating disorder gives you somewhere to hide so you don't have to face the number on the scale — that "frenemy" that controls how you feel about your body and your sense of self. Maybe you turn your focus to food, or pick apart your body, as a way to cope with the harder stuff underneath.

Maybe a learning disorder has reinforced messages you've heard from others, or tell yourself: that you're stupid, slow, different.

Maybe anxiety has paralyzed you at times, consumed you with worry, and made you feel like no matter how hard you try, nothing is good enough — like you're constantly battling the voice in your head that says you're not enough.

If any of this resonates, I want you to know: you don't know who you are without the smokescreen, and that's exhausting to carry. You no longer have to hide behind the mask, or keep listening to those whispers of doubt — from the outside world, or from within yourself.

How I can help

I can help tame your inner critic and put down the mask for good. I see the struggle and the strength in all my clients. I know you can achieve what you choose, because you no longer have to hide.

My counseling style is warm, interactive, and non-judgmental. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion — and I don't believe in the stigmatization of mental illness. My approach is primarily cognitive-behavioral, and I tailor our work together to meet your individual needs and goals.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling, happier life and to take the first step toward change. If you're ready to take that step, I'd be honored to support and empower you on your journey.

My Mission and Dedication

My mission is to see you as you truly are - an amazing individual with the ability not just to overcome, but to achieve. I know how hard it can be to open up to a stranger, especially if you've felt rejected for expressing your feelings in the past. I'm here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be your authentic self.

I'm dedicated to helping you identify and address core issues that have held you back. Together, we'll work on:

Improving your relationship with food and body image

Managing stress and intrusive thoughts that keep you from living fully

Navigating daily life while embracing your unique way of thinking

My approach is tailored to your individual needs, combining evidence-based techniques with genuine compassion and understanding. I'm here to listen, support, and guide you towards the life you desire.

My Commitment to You

I strive to be more than just a therapist. I'll be your ally, your support system, and sometimes, a source of hope when you feel you have none left. Together, we'll work towards taming your inner critic, throwing away the mask, and embracing your true self.

Remember, you're not defined by your struggles. You're strong, you're worthy, and you have the power to create positive change in your life. Let's embark on this journey of self-discovery and growth together.
